About AIC
The Asahikawa International Committee (AIC) is a nonprofit group at the Asahikawa International Center. It supports local people and people from other countries to meet and share cultures.
WE HAVE STAFF THAT SPEAK ENGLISH, JAPANESE, SPANISH, AND KOREAN
What Can I Do at the International Center?

COMMUNITY
AIC brings people from different cultures together through fun exchange events.
EVENT: Spring Walk & Picnic
International residents and local Japanese come together to walk
and experience Asahikawa’s urban landscape and nature while connecting through culture and life in Asahikawa.
LANGUAGE
Practice Japanese or other languages while connecting with locals and international residents.
EVENT: Language Exchange Event (Nihongo Lounge)
Learn Japanese, connect with the community!
Practice, improve, and engage with the people of Asahikawa.
CULTURE
Learn and share cultures with people from all over the world!
EVENT: Cooking Classes
Connect through food from all over the world! Learn how to make new dishes while meeting new people! This event is easy to participate even for non-Japanese speakers!
