Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Coordinator for International Cooperation
“Incorporating International cooperation into Japanese culture”
Coordinators for International Cooperation are posted around 17 locations nation-wide and serve as JICA contact points for regional areas. One of the core activities of Coordinators for International Cooperation is to organize and implement international cooperation projects in conjunction with regional international associations and local governments. In Hokkaido there are JICA Centers in Sapporo and Obihiro, as well as JICA Desks (staffed by a Coordinator for International Cooperation) in Asahikawa and Hakodate.
The Work of JICA Asahikawa Desk
● To provide information on international cooperation activities run by JICA
● Support local international cooperation activities.
