A Letter from Overseas
A Letter from Overseas
The JICA Youth Overseas Cooperation Groups began in 1965, but the vegetable specialist group sent to the Philippines in 1970 became the first dispatch group from Asahikawa. Since then many volunteers from Asahikawa have gone abroad, and up to March 2012 85 youth volunteers and 9 senior volunteers have worked in areas all over the world.
Group Member Kobayashi, who is currently working in Jordan since January 2012 as part of the 2011 3rd dispatch group, sent a letter.
